The Hong Kong Housing Society was selected as one of the 2007 Computerworld Honors Laureates and Rico Chiang, Senior Manage (IT Solution Delivery) of the Society attended the Laureate Medal Ceremoney held on June 4, 2007 in Washington, DC together with Christopher Ling, Director and Principle Consultant of IT Channel. The Computerworld Honors Program annually identifies the organizations whose use of information technology has been especially noteworthy for the originality of its conception, the breadth of its vision and the significance of its benefit to society. As the only Laureate representing the Non-Profit Organization sector from the Asia Pacific region, Housing Society believes that by 2010, the majority of management information systems would be multi-media based and can be retrieved and accessed through hand-held mobile devices.
The current Management Information System of Housing Soceity was built to closely monitor property management operation and financial decisions. The Business Intelligence platform of the Management Information System was designed and implemented by IT Channel.
